Today we went to the town of Truro, Nova Scotia. This is the upper part of the Bay of Fundy where the tides can reach 50 feet. The water on the shore changes rapidly around here as the tides change.
At the Discover Site Fundy you can learn about the tidal bores that happen. This one in particular is at Truro, NS. We watched as a small wave of water pushed it’s way up river and changed the direction of the flow of the river. This new direction happens until the tide changes and pulls the water back out.
Interesting to watch the process.
